The Site Manager is responsible for managing and supporting renewable projects during construction phase. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the management of sub-contractors and suppliers, during construction, ensuring they work safely, efficiently and in line with project programmes. The key focus for an SM will be management of H&S, which consist of checking RAMS are suitable for task, ensuring they are adhered to, issuing permits for relevant high risk tasks and generally managing the welfare. The role will involve working closely with the Project manager, who will lead the project, provide day to day management and offer guidance.
This role will be site office based, so will likely involve working away from home Monday to Friday, as our projects are nationwide.
RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES
- Management and leadership of onsite issues.
- Responsible for health and safety onsite.
- Sub-contractor management.
- Ensuring welfare facilities are constantly operational and in line with CDM requirements.
- Assist the Project Manager with quality assurance and control of the onsite build process.
- Checking deliveries are correct.
- Additional duties as may be required in the execution of the role.
- Ability to take ownership of the role.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A good knowledge of renewable technology.
- Good organizational/project management skills with a good understanding of the key commercial aspects of PV projects.
- Flexible and proactive approach with the ability to manage project work without supervision.
- Good working knowledge of CDM requirements.
- Sound working knowledge of common MS Office packages.
- Strong organizational skills and time management.
- Strong experience of building, leading and influencing health and safety behaviours onsite.
- From a construction background.
- SMSTs.
- Three day first aid at work qualification.
- Full UK driving license.
