The company has been awarded Leading Solar & Battery Infrastructure Developer 2026 in the UK while Lee Adams, Chief Commercial Officer, has been named Most Strategic Commercial Leader 2026 in UK Renewable Energy (UK).
The company award reflects Enviromena’s position as one of the UK’s leading independent power producers, with a pipeline exceeding 3GW and nearly 400MW of solar capacity currently under management.
The individual award recognises Lee Adams’s commercial leadership in advancing large-scale solar and battery storage projects, including his contribution to the growth of Enviromena’s portfolio and the development of long-term strategic partnerships across the UK and Europe.
The recognition comes on the back of a significant year for Enviromena. In 2025, the company energised its flagship Medebridge Solar Farm in Essex, a 71MWp site capable of generating enough clean electricity to power approximately 26,000 homes and avoid more than 14,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
Medebridge has the benefit of a 10-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement with The University of Manchester, the largest solar CPPA with an educational institution in the UK, supplying around 65% of the university’s total electricity demand.
The company also strengthened its development pipeline through three strategic acquisitions: Longpasture Solar Farm in County Durham, Steeraway in Shropshire and Rock Farm, also in Shropshire, together representing over 150MWp of fully consented solar capacity. Across the three sites, generation is expected to provide enough energy to power nearly 50,000 homes annually.
Chris Marsh, CEO at Enviromena, said: “These awards reflect the quality of the team we have built and the commercial discipline that underpins everything we do. Lee has played a central role in building the partnerships and structures that give our projects long-term stability, from the University of Manchester CPPA at Medebridge to the CfD agreements that underpin our construction pipeline.
“2025 was a year in which we demonstrated that an IPP model, grounded in long-term ownership and active asset management, can deliver at scale. We go into 2026 with strong momentum and a clear view of what we are building towards.”
Lee Adams, Chief Commercial Officer at Enviromena, said: “I’m grateful for the recognition, but the commercial progress we’ve made is a team effort and it’s great that this has also been recognised with the company award. Bringing Medebridge into operation, securing long-term offtake for our pipeline assets and acquiring three ready-to-build projects in 2025 required close collaboration across development, construction and asset management.
“The opportunity ahead is significant. The UK needs more domestic generation and the solar sector is well positioned to deliver it. Our focus is on making sure the projects we develop are built to last and structured to deliver value over the long term.”
