The Green Energy Provider shortlisting reflects a period of sustained delivery across Enviromena’s wider portfolio. In the past 18 months, the company has closed a £1 billion portfolio financing package, completed one of the first commercial transactions under the new P442 direct supply framework at Rhigos Road Solar Farm in South Walesand extended its repowering programme to nearly 60MW of upgraded operational assets.
In addition, the company has increased the size of its portfolio of projects following the acquisition of over 150MWp of ready to build projects and has secured planning consent for over 225MWp of new projects,
The Green Collaboration nomination recognises Medebridge Solar Farm, Enviromena’s flagship 71MWp site in Essex, and its 10-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (cPPA) with the University of Manchester.
Structured with EDF and Inspired, the cPPA supplies 65% of the university’s total electricity demand, reducing its emissions by around 12,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, and is the UK’s largest solar cPPA with an educational institution.
The project has now been operational for one year and has generated over 80GWhs of green energy.
