Enviromena, the UK-based independent power producer, has completed a further phase of its UK solar repowering programme, continuing its work to optimise equipment and ensure solar assets operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

The latest repowering works have been delivered across four sites, with an aggregated capacity of 30MW, in the Southwest of England. The latest round of site works have focused on the replacement of key components to address warranty-related faults and reliability issues.

By maintaining the performance of these assets, Enviromena is ensuring existing solar infrastructure continues to provide dependable, long-term power to the UK energy system.

These works form part of Enviromena’s ongoing approach to managing and maintaining operational solar assets, prioritising long-term integrity, operational reliability and safety.

This phase builds on repowering works carried out last summer across over 25MW of operational sites taking Enviromena’s total of sites repowered up to almost 60MW.

Neil Hutchings, Chief Asset Officer at Enviromena, said: “Repowering is not only a core part of how we manage solar assets over the long term but is essential for ensuring that early renewable energy projects continue to contribute effectively to the UK’s energy security.

“The completion of our latest repowering works at sites with ageing infrastructure re-affirms our ongoing efforts to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of our portfolio.”

Further repowering works are planned across Enviromena’s portfolio in the coming months with further projects set to commence this summer.
